Desert Foothills Land Trust works with local authors, artists, business owners, nonprofit partners and friends to offer a variety of fun and educational virtual experiences. The entire series is available to residents online, for free.

Desert Encounters includes videos on how to make different crafts, book readings by the author, step by step instructions on how to draw different creatures of the desert, lessons on different elements of the desert such as geology, indigenous plants and desert dwellers, and much more.

In a recent addition to the Desert Encounters virtual education series, beekeeper and honey enthusiast Audra Waddle, of AZ Queen Bee, teaches viewers all about bees as she opens one of her own local beehives to give viewers a look inside.
