The Cave Creek Tourism Bureau reopened for the season Oct. 14 at a new address: 6061 E. Cave Creek Rd., facing onto Hidden Valley Drive. This spacious new location is more centrally located and also includes a gallery wall for displays of Cave Creek artwork.
The new building may be wonderful, but it’s the team of 32 friendly, dedicated volunteers, both regulars and substitutes, that make the Cave Creek Tourism Bureau the success it is. Greeting visitors and sharing all they know and love about Cave Creek and its sister town Carefree is what the volunteers at the tourism bureau enjoy most.
When asked what she liked best about working at the tourism bureau, six-year volunteer Lisa Nocella responded, “It’s the excited faces of the people who walk through the door not knowing what Cave Creek has to offer and leaving with town information looking the same way but with anticipation of their new adventure exploring Cave Creek.”
Available at the tourism bureau are event information, area and trail maps, details and brochures on local shops and restaurants and information about the area’s history, flora and fauna.
Hours at the Cave Creek Tourism Bureau are daily, 10am–2pm. COVID-19 precautions with properly worn masks and social distancing are in place for the safety and well-being of both visitors and volunteers alike.
