Phoenix Mural Project 2021 murals

Valley residents are invited to enjoy the outdoors and watch as dozens of talented artists paint their visions of Arizona and sustainability along the Grand Canal, as the Phoenix Mural Project 2021, sponsored by SRP, comes to a close.

Organizer Danielle Foushee said she was inspired by the many murals she saw in the Phoenix metropolitan area and organized more than 85 artists to share their talents to beautify the canals and trails that many residents use every day. Artists have been painting 68 murals on walls over that last month along the Grand Canalscape from 15th Avenue to 7th Street.

How to Catch the Action

The artists will be painting along the Grand Canalscape from 15th Avenue to 7th Street throughout the day Saturday, March 6, from 10am to 3pm. Participating artists include local artists Bacpac, Jason Begay, La Morena, Joyce Faucett, Adrian Garcia, Chele Hill, Lalo Cota, Ashley Macias and more.

On Saturday, March 6, attendees can also participate in the Phoenix Mural Festival Passport contest to win discounts in nearby shops and eateries (including Thunderbird Lounge, Sunshine Sunflower Ceramics, Kraken Glass Studios and Short Leash Hot Dogs), visit the Savidan Gallery to see work by the festival's featured artists and be the first to tour FIVE55, the city's newest ultra-sustainable co-working environment.
