CITY LIFE - DOG-EARED REVIEW: Harry’s Fury

By Melanie Tighe

Harry's Fury Book Review by Melanie Tighe

When most mystery writers continue a series, they usually carry on with the detective. Not so with E.C. Brierfield. His new book, Harry’s Fury, the second book in the Thunder Ridge Trilogy, starts off with an interesting and entertaining twist.
Set in the same charming, fictional town as the first book, The Brodick Follies, we learn Thunder Ridge, Colorado harbors as many spirits as it does residents. Its newest soul is Harry Brodick.  When Harry, the gun-running, womanizing, murder victim from Book One wakes up in the morgue, he is angry, confused and screaming for revenge.
Of course, Harry is also dead. Unable to directly give chase to his murderer, he decides to enlist the unwilling help of Ken Barwick, a Thunder Ridge resident, to help him carry out his deadly plans. What Harry doesn’t expect is Ken’s growing influence over him.
Full of mystery, intrigue and just plain old fun, Harry’s Fury will leave you wanting to make reservations in Thunder Ridge for your next vacation.
