Local Mixologist Named “Most Inspired”

Jason Asher of elements at Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa, was named Bombay Sapphire and GQ Magazine’s Most Inspired Bartender of 2010. Asher and his cocktail, the Beet & Yuzu Gimlet, will be featured both inside and on a special edition cover of GQ’s December 2010 Man of the Year issue. The recipe is below. Beet & Yuzu Gimlet
2 oz. Bombay Sapphire Gin
½ oz. Beet juice
½ oz. Simple syrup
¼ oz. Fresh yuzu juice
Combine all ingredients in a glass. Add ice and shake vigorously. Double strain into a martini glass garnished with a watermelon and honeydew skewer.

2 ounces Three Olives Pomegranate Vodka
5 ounces Pomegranate juice
