Trigun: Badlands Rumble

Trigun: Badlands Rumble is an action-packed expansion of one of the most popular comic book franchises out of Japan in the past decade and a half.
Trigun: Badlands Rumble is reminiscent of the original Star Wars and old spaghetti westerns with a hilarious touch of the grotesque that only Japanese anime can bring to animation. The animation is fluid and keeps your attention throughout the film, and the settings, creatures and vehicles are original and imaginative. A story of revenge, robbery, and redemption, Trigun: Badlands Rumble, is extremely enjoyable for fans of modern westerns like Desperado or shows like Firefly.
Caution, Trigun is very violent and has strong language and is not recommended for children or viewers who might be easily offended.

Set on a remote planet of the near future, Trigun: Badlands Rumble portrays the life of a wanted man, Vash, an extreme pacifist by nature bizarrely nicknamed as the “human typhoon.” Production was done by Madhouse, which also worked on Naruto animated films and the “Death Note” TV series.

Published from 1995 to 2007 in Japan, the Trigun manga has been translated into English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and other languages. The English translated version distributed in 2003 sold out immediately, and in 2004, it achieved the position as the number one best selling graphic novel in the U.S.

The television series, also animated by Madhouse, consisted of 26 episodes and was broadcast on Cartoon Network in 2003.
