The theme of this year’s contest is A Day In The Life Of [insert your name here]. It is so easy to get caught up in our busy lives that we forget to take a moment to recognize the beauty all around us – beauty that we pass by every day without a second thought. Be creative with your photos – make it an abstract of the daily caffeine jolt, look at it from an insect’s point of view, or a child’s. The important thing is to slow down and take an appreciative look around you.
Photos are chosen each month from a pool of all photos submitted and each monthly winner is eligible for the grand prize, which includes his or her photo on the cover of our January 2011 issue and cash prize courtesy of our sponsor, Grayleaf Studio.
Submit your digital photo to news@CITYSunTimes.com with “My Best Shot” in the subject line. Be sure to include your full name and contact number, what area you live in and a brief description of the shot. The photo should be high resolution and at least 800x600 in size.
